Documenting Visual Narratives

Patricia Lim, a passionate visual journalist hailing from the vibrant city of Austin, Texas. Originally from the Philippines, Patricia's journey took her across continents to Long Island, New York, before she found her home in the Lone Star State, where she studied at the University of Texas at Austin.

Navigating through the challenges of a language barrier, Patricia discovered the profound impact of imagery. Photography, in her eyes, transcends linguistic boundaries, serving as a universal language capable of freezing moments in time and preserving the narratives of history.

Drawing from her diverse experiences and cultural roots, Patricia channels her lens towards capturing the essence of Asian-American communities, women's reproductive rights, live performances through concert photography, and shedding light on the intricacies of local news.

Beyond the confines of the newsroom, Patricia's spirit thrives in various endeavors. From her past as a dedicated Taekwondo athlete to her current role as a devoted mother to an adorable canine companion, Patricia's zest for life knows no bounds. Currently, she's lacing up her running shoes, embarking on a journey of self-discovery as she trains for her inaugural marathon.
